NBA Round-Up: LeBron James Keeps Historic Streak Alive; Suns Shoot Down Shoddy Lakers Despite Booker Exit
The Phoenix Suns rolled into L.A., lost Devin Booker within minutes, yet still smacked the Lakers 125–108 to snap their seven-game win streak.
Booker exited in the first quarter, but Phoenix barely blinked. Dillon Brooks turned into a one-man firestarter with 33 points, while Collin Gillespie morphed into a heat-seeking missile from deep, dropping 28 points with eight triples.
Add in L.A.'s comical 22 turnovers — which the Suns gleefully converted into 32 points — and this one was over long before the final horn.
The Lakers, now 15-5, looked nothing like the surging version of the past two weeks. Luka Doncic did his best to drag them along with a 38-point night, Austin Reaves chipped in 16, and DeAndre Ayton added 12.
But LeBron James struggled, finishing with 10 points on 3-for-10 shooting, just enough to save The King's precious 10-point scoring streak (one that has now extended to 1297 consecutive games) and the miscues buried JJ Redick's squad before they ever found their rhythm.
Bron hit 10+ points and subbed out right away…The 18 year, 1,297 game streak lives on for now 😅 pic.twitter.com/Qffv1WQqQA

Around The League
Elsewhere, Donovan Mitchell turned into a walking bucket again, hanging 43 on the Pacers as the Cavaliers cruised 135–119. Cleveland set the tone early with a 37–25 first quarter and never looked back.
In Denver, the Mavericks pulled off a spicy upset — 131–121 — despite Nikola Jokic finishing with another absurd stat line: 29 points, 20 rebounds, 13 assists. The Nuggets opened up a 14-point lead in the first quarter, then watched Dallas absolutely torch them 42–27 in the second. From there, it was all swings and counter-swings until the Mavs closed the door with a dominant fourth. Dallas is now 7-15, while Denver drops to 14-6.
The upsets kept coming in Utah, where the Jazz (yes, the 7-13 Jazz) stunned the Rockets 133–125.

And to cap the night, the Detroit Pistons held onto first place in the East with a gritty 99–98 win over Atlanta. Cade Cunningham did what Cade Cunningham does — eight of his 18 came in crunch time — as Detroit survived a game that featured 27 lead changes.
