Korean Traveller, With Confirmed Ticket, Struggles For Seat, RPF Officer Steps In: ‘Inka Toh Khayal Karo’
A Korean man was denied his seat despite holding a confirmed ticket during his train journey in India. The incident took place while he was travelling from Muzaffarpur in Bihar to Delhi.
Soon, a Railway Police Force (RPF) intervened to make sure that the traveller got the seat. Many praised the officer for taking action. Meanwhile, others criticised the passengers who had refused to give up the seat.
RPF Officer Confronts Passengers After Korean Man Denied Seat
The clip shows the Korean traveller standing near the coach gate with his luggage. An RPF officer soon notices him and asks about the issue. The traveller then shows his ticket to the official.
The officer walks towards the seat mentioned on the ticket and finds a group of men occupying it. One of the men is even seen lying down on the berth. As soon as the officer arrives, the man immediately sits up.
The officer then asks the passengers to vacate the seat so that the traveller can take his place. The Korean man sits down after the brief exchange.
While addressing the passengers, the police official is heard saying, “Kam se kam inka toh khayal karo. Humare desh mein aaye honge pehli baar aur aap letkar ja rahe hai (At least be considerate of him. He may be visiting our country for the first time and you are lying down on his seat)." The Korean traveller is then seen thanking the officer for helping him.

How Did Social Media React?
The incident has triggered a variety of reactions online. While several users praised the RPF officer for stepping in, many also criticised the passengers for not giving the traveller his seat even though he had a confirmed ticket.
One user commented, “The brawl over the general coach in India is not hidden from anyone, but humanity should rise above the seat. Even when the seat was empty, not giving space reflects a narrow-minded mentality."
Another said, “It’s good to see the RPF stepping in and doing the right thing when it mattered. Travelers especially guests from other countries deserve safety and respect on our trains. Moments like this remind us how a small act of fairness can protect the country’s image."

A person jokingly remarked, “Bro probably has no idea what a general coach is…he thought it will be normal like his country."
An individual added, “If any traveller is reading this: avoid general and sleeper class in Indian trains."

Foreign Vloggers’ Train Journey In Kerala
Last year in October, a video featuring three foreign vloggers travelling from Kochi to Varkala in a crowded general coach also drew attention online. The clip showed the corridor near the toilet area where the sink was overflowing with water, while the coach appeared so packed that moving around inside it seemed difficult. The situation also caused an unpleasant smell inside the compartment.
