Katrina Kaif Was 'Crying' After Break-Up With Ranbir Kapoor, Said 'I Ruined My Career'

It is no secret that Katrina Kaif dated Ranbir Kapoor during his initial career days in Bollywood. But when she broke up with her ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' co-star, she was left devastated. In a recent interview with the YouTube channel of Zahra Jani, veteran journalist Pooja Samant opened up about Katrina's breakup with Ranbir. She mentioned that the actress cried a lot and was emotional during the period. Katrina even thought that her career would come to an end since she had rejected several projects during her romance with Ranbir.

“When we went to YRF Studios to interview Katrina, she was weeping, crying like anything. She was saying I have made a mistake, and I am responsible for my loss of work," Pooja recalled and then added, “She was crying and telling us that she fell in love with him and then things didn't work out, and now we are not together anymore. But because of him, I ruined my career."

“She must have thought that after marrying Ranbir, she would have become a Kapoor family member, and she must have thought that they didn't allow their daughters-in-law to work in movies, at least that's how it was back then, now things have changed. She let go of a lot of films. She was very disappointed," she shared.

Katrina Kaif is now married to Vicky Kaushal. The two tied the knot in December 2021 and welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on November 7 this year. Back then, they shared a statement which read, “Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy. 7th November 2025. Katrina & Vicky."

On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor married Alia Bhatt in April 2022. They are also parents to a baby girl named Raha.

Interestingly, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will soon be sharing the screen for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie, Love and War.
