Karan Johar Lost Virginity At 26, Was 'Intimately Involved' With Janhvi Kapoor's Family Member?
In the recent episode of the chat show ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle', Karan Johar shocked Janhvi Kapoor when he told her that he had been intimately involved with a member of her family. It all started during a game segment – ‘truth or lie' – when Janhvi challenged Karan to reveal something scandalous.
“Tell us one scandalous truth about yourself and make up one lie, and we'll guess which one is true," the actress asked KJo. To this, the filmmaker replied, “I lost my virginity when I was 26 years old, and I've been intimately involved with a member of your family".
While Karan's comment left Janhvi shocked, Twinkle and Kajol were left laughing out loud. However, KJo soon clarified that even though he lost his virginity at 26, the latter was a lie. “I was late to that party and I have not been intimate with any member from your family. Though the thought has crossed my mind a couple of times," he clarified.
Janhvi Kapoor has had a long-time collaboration with Karan Johar and his Dharma Productions. She made her acting debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Dhadak, which was produced by Johar's Dharma Productions. The film also starred Ishaan Khatter in the lead and was a commercial success.
Since then, Janhvi has worked on several projects with Karan Johar, including Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, where she made a special appearance. Her most recent collaboration with Karan Johar is the film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, which highlights their stable partnership in the film industry.
Recently, Janhvi Kapoor was also a part of Homebound, which was also produced by KJo. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film was screened at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Adding to the excitement, the film was recently announced as India's official entry for the 2026 Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category.
