Jonathan Bailey shared a tender moment with Sesame Street's beloved character Elmo during his guest appearance on the kids' show. The actor was on the program to promote his film Wicked: For Good and engaged warmly with Elmo.
In one memorable segment, PEOPLE's ‘Sexiest Man Alive' was seen sitting quietly on a park bench, taking a peaceful moment for himself.
Jonathan Bailey Shares Quiet Moment With Elmo
In the clip, Bailey was seen sharing a self-reflective interaction with Elmo. Drenched in the autumn sunlight, the actor took a pause. “Sometimes I do nothing, and sometimes I just sit and listen to the leaves," Bailey told Elmo.
“And then I think about all the things that make me smile, like my family and friends. Friends like you. And I'll think about and appreciate all the things I've done this year."
The duo discussed taking moments for oneself, embracing both self-reflection and happiness. “And maybe there are some adventures and moments that we're yet to experience," Bailey added as he and Elmo agreed to get hot chocolate together. “Remember, give yourself a moment. A moment for whatever you need," the actor concluded.

Jonathan Bailey Dances With Bert And Ernie
In another segment, the actor showed off his film Wicked's dance moves with Bert and Ernie. Bailey joined the iconic duo for a dance party. “We're dancing through life, Bert," he said, referencing his hit number from Wicked: For Good, which opens in theatres Nov. 21. The actor's enthusiasm, along with Bert and Ernie's pace, turned the moment into a celebration of friendship and music.

Bailey's appearance at Sesame Street came as he gears up to be back on the big screen in Wicked: For Good. Adapted from the 2003 stage musical of the same name, the fantasy film is the sequel to 2024's Wicked. Alongside Jonathan, other cast members, including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum, are returning from the first film, with Colman Domingo joining the cast.
Bailey previously shared that he will take a short break from acting in the coming months to focus on running his charity, The Shameless Fund. However, he clarified that he will not take the entire year off.
