In the now-viral clip, Piyush Dhanotiya, the accused in the case, is seen facing the media without attempting to hide his identity. He appears composed and even smirks while being questioned for the heinous crime he committed. His response is what left the Internet disturbed. The accused said, “Whatever had to happen had already happened. Leave it. What will you do after knowing? Time will come, I will tell everything."
For many viewers, that tone has become the focal point of public outrage.

Clips of his interaction quickly spread across platforms, with users expressing rage over what they described as a complete lack of remorse. Another detailed the incident, highlighting the absence of fear in his eyes. Along with the clip, they wrote, “Just listen to this shameless MBA guy Dhanotiya." The user added, “He reportedly gagged her by stuffing a cloth in her mouth and sat on her chest, strangling her. Believing she had died, he stabbed her near the chest with such force that the knife broke. Can’t see fear of law and order or any regret in his eyes."

“When confronted, he said, ‘Chhodo na yaar, jo hua so hua’ with absolutely no remorse. If this man doesn’t get the ropes, all courts should be shut down," a comment read.

What Exactly Happened
According to police, the incident took place on Tuesday inside the accused’s rented accommodation in Indore. The victim, a first-year MBA student, had left home after informing her family that she needed to get her birth certificate corrected. Her father dropped her near the collectorate earlier that day.
Investigators claim that after the woman refused Piyush’s demand for sex, he assaulted her. Police claim he tied her hands and legs, gagged her and strangled her. Officials have also alleged sexual assault and acts of necrophilia after her death, as reported by NDTV. The report further stated that Piyush stabbed the woman near the chest with such force that the knife broke.
Videos Circulated After Death
Police said that 11 objectionable videos were circulated using the victim’s phone after the incident. The clips were allegedly shared in a college WhatsApp group, uploaded to her WhatsApp status and sent to contacts saved on her phone.
CCTV footage recovered by the Police reportedly shows the accused leaving the premises alone with a bag. Authorities have also described what they called “bizarre behaviour" after the killing, including attempts to perform rituals to “summon" the woman’s “spirit."
