Even when a gadget is labelled waterproof, most people wouldn't trust it to survive more than a quick dunk in a swimming pool. But one Bluetooth speaker has taken durability to a whole new level by doing something that has left the internet genuinely stunned.
A JBL Bluetooth speaker, recently found washed ashore after reportedly floating in the ocean for nearly three months, was discovered still working. Many called it accidental yet perfect brand promotion.
JBL Speaker Found After 3 Months In Ocean
The video shows the JBL speaker lying on the shore, heavily coated with sea mud, shells and marine residue. Tiny insects can also be seen crawling over its surface which makes it unsettling to look at. Despite its rough appearance, the speaker appears completely functional.
As the clip continues, music can be heard playing clearly from the device. With every beat, the shells stuck to the speaker visibly vibrate.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “This JBL speaker was found after floating in the ocean for 3 months, and it still works perfectly."

‘Best Advertisement Ever,' Say Users
Since being shared online, the clip has accumulated more than seventeen million views. The sheer improbability of the situation turned the clip into a talking point with users praising the speaker's durability and joking about JBL's unintentional marketing win.
One user commented, “Wow! Even the sea had to return back the beauty to those that can use it…now this is top quality advertisement."
Another added, “Hahaha, the best proof of quality! JBL should use it for in their advertising."
“Survived the ocean like it was built by NASA, JBL out here flexing durability," someone else remarked while a person wrote, “If this isn't the most incredible advertisement…I don't know what is!"
“The day JBL quietly took the throne as king of Bluetooth speakers," a viewer said.
“JBL marketing team got 20 days of holiday after that," an individual humourously commented.
