Ismail Darbar Confirms Awez And Nagma 'Sacrificed' December Wedding For Bigg Boss 19
The 19th season of Bigg Boss premiered on August 24, 2025, and the drama has already begun. Among the most talked-about contestants are influencer couple Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajkar, fondly known by fans as “Nawez." While speculations about their relationship have been circulating for years, Awez's father, veteran music composer Ismail Darbar, has now confirmed that the two were all set to tie the knot this December before putting everything on hold for the reality show.
Ismail Darbar On Awez And Nagma's Postponed Wedding
Speaking to Viral Television, Ismail Darbar revealed, “Both the families had accepted them, and they were supposed to get married this December. We had fixed the date for 26th December. Awez told me to at least speak to Nagma's family for her hand in marriage. I personally went to Nagma's house and finalised the wedding date. Her mother even served us delicious food, and we talked until midnight about the wedding plans and venue. Everything was set, but they made a big sacrifice for Bigg Boss 19 by putting their wedding on hold. Now I just pray they don't come back fighting from the show."
Awez And Nagma Open Up Inside Bigg Boss 19
Inside the house, Awez himself addressed their personal lives during a live session. He admitted that marriage discussions were already underway with their families and hinted at the possibility that they might have already been married if not for the reality show. Before he could share more, Bigg Boss intervened and cut the conversation short.
Even during casual conversations in the kitchen, fellow contestant Kunickaa Sadanand quizzed Awez and Nagma about their future plans. Both candidly admitted that their families had given them their blessings, and Awez confirmed that the decision had already been made long before entering the show.
The influencer couple's journey has always fascinated fans. Starting out on TikTok nearly eight years ago, Awez and Nagma built a massive following with their creative content and undeniable chemistry. Their bond extended beyond social media, with Nagma often spotted at Darbar family events, from intimate parties to international holidays.
Now, with their postponed wedding and high-profile stint on Bigg Boss 19, all eyes are on “Nawez" to see whether love survives the challenges of reality TV or faces unexpected hurdles.
