Is Snoop Dogg an Aaron Rodgers, Steelers supporter? Video of hug goes viral

Rapper Snoop Dogg, who is from Long Beach, California, has never shied away from his allegiance to the Pittsburgh Steelers. A very public Steelers fan, Snoop Dogg was at the Steelers' game as they travelled to his home state to play the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday at the SoFi Stadium.
Not only was the rapper at the game, but he also made sure to cheer up the team with his presence before the game. As the players walked onto the field, Snoop Dogg came up and met them. One particular moment with the team's quarterback, the legendary Aaron Rodgers, went viral.
Rodgers, 41, joined the Steelers this offseason from the New York Jets. Despite doubts around NFL legends' capabilities as quarterbacks due to his old age, Rodgers has proven crucial to the Steelers, steering them through several high-profile games this season.
Snoop was one of those people who doubted Rodgers initially when he joined the Steelers, speculating that his best years were over and, perhaps, he should hang up his boots. But now, the 41-year-old's performances have moved Snoop Dogg, too.
And, before the game on Sunday night, Snoop Dogg and Aaron Rodgers shared a warm hug, the video of which went viral on social media.
Here's the video of Snoop Dogg hugging the rapper:
Snoop Dogg is not only a Steelers fan, but, as the media describes him, he has an "avid Steelers fan." He had confessed in an interview that he watches all of the Steelers' games. “I watch all of the games. I have personal friendships with some of the players … when they see me go to another facility …” indicating a long-standing interest in the team," he had revealed in an interview with the Pittsburg Steelers.

Additionally, Snoop also often pops up in media events and discussions related to the Steelers. For instance, he had expressed his initial doubts about Aaron Rodgers in an interview with ESPN's First Take in April 2025.
“Is he going to show up to mini-camp and all the other stuff? Because that's what's important. Like if you don't get the rhythm of the team, then we don't need you, homie,” he had said about Rodgers.
“You've got to come in here and do what we need to be done to get the rhythm and the chemistry. "
