Films that go popular rarely stay confined to the big screens. Certain scenes or dialogues seep into pop culture, turning into memes and funky edits. Such snippets often go viral on social media. Sometimes they even teach a lesson. So it was not surprising when the Delhi Police also tapped into this trend. The department is renowned for its engaging ways of delivering vital information to the online community by utilising memes through remarkable creativity. This time was no exception.
On Wednesday (December 10), the Delhi Police dropped two snippets from the film Dhurandhar on X, which came with a powerful message on drug addiction. The clip opened to a trending sequence, featuring Akshaye Khanna's entry as politician-crime lord Rehman Dakait to the Bahraini rap song Fa9la by Gulf-based artist Flipperachi.
Delhi Police's Powerful Message On Drugs Through Dhurandhar Scene
For this part, Akshaye Khanna's Rehman Dakait steps out of his car in swag, greets the men and dances joyfully to Arabic music. The text layout attached to this entry scene by the Delhi Police read, “What you think you look like when high." Cut to the next snippet, Akshaye Khanna is seen on his knees, wriggling on the floor, sweating profusely. Referring to the scene, the Delhi Police wrote, “But here's where you actually end up."
The video concluded with a strong message of saying no to drugs. It read, “Do not lose control of your life as drugs only offer an illusion." Meanwhile, the caption said, “Drug's high might feel real, but it's an illusion. Do not trade your truth for a moment's delusion."
