Indore Judge Scolds Female Lawyer For Saying ‘Ya Ya Ya’ Inside Court: ‘Tum Cafe Coffee Day Mein Nahi Baithi Ho’ | Video

A short clip from a district court in Indore has taken over social media after it captured a judge firmly pulling up a female lawyer for repeatedly saying “ya ya ya" during proceedings. The brief exchange has sparked surprise and laughter across platforms as users react to the unusual moment.

The video, which is only 31 seconds long, begins in the middle of their conversation. The judge is heard questioning the lawyer about her way of speaking.

Courtroom ‘Ya' Café?

Once the clip begins, the judge asks the lawyer, “Kaha se aayi ho tum? (Where have you come from?)" She replies that she is from Indore. The judge immediately comments, “Indore se aayi ho, waha ‘ya, ya, ya' bolti rehti ho kya? Aadha Hindi mein, aadha angrezi mein – usme bhi ‘ya, ya, ya' (You've come from Indore, do you keep saying ‘ya, ya, ya' there? Half in Hindi, half in English – and even in that, ‘ya, ya, ya')."

He sounds annoyed as he questions why she keeps using the word “ya". His irritation grows when he warns her that if she says “ya" again, her case might not continue.

His exact words are, “Agar tum dobara ‘ya' kaha na toh tumhari file bandh karke, tumko hum wapis bhej kar denge. Tum yaha Café Coffee Day mein nhi baithi ho. ‘Ya' band kar do yaha par bolna (If you say ‘ya' again, I will close your file and send you back. You are not sitting in Café Coffee Day. Stop saying ‘ya' here)."

The lawyer can be heard apologising in the background. The video then jumps to the judge telling her, “Ab tum ek kaam karo agle hafte aana (Now do one thing, come next week)."

The footage was shared on X (formerly Twitter) with a playful caption, “Indore walo ko toh ab judge sahab bhi nahi jhel pa rahe (Even the judge can't tolerate the people of Indore)."

Another commented, “Ya Ya kuch jyada hi ho gaya (The ‘ya ya' became a bit too much)."

But not everyone found it funny. Some viewers felt the judge went too far. One user said the lawyer should be free to speak in her own way and that saying “ya ya ya" is not a big issue. The comment added that it is not right to judge someone's talking style and that educated people should not get offended over something so small.
