In new podcast teaser, Nikhil Kamath asks Elon Musk about his obsession with letter 'X'

Zerodha cofounder Nikhil Kamath dropped a fresh teaser for his “WTF is” podcast featuring Elon Musk, intensifying online buzz around it. In the latest clip, Kamath and the Tesla and SpaceX chief are seen in a more conventional studio-style setting, chatting over coffee.

The two are seen laughing out loud, with Musk cracking one-liners and Kamath remarking that the billionaire is “bigger, bulkier, more muscular” than he had imagined. Kamath also plans to release the episode for an exclusive pre-screening for paying members of the WTF Off Grid community in Bengaluru.

The teaser reel intercuts bursts of laughter with brief hints at a wider conversation that appears to touch on Musk's relationship with the letter X and his views on risk, perseverance, and success. “Here's to delaying gratification. The future belongs to the patient,” Kamath's post read.

WTF Off Grid members in Bengaluru are being offered an in‑person pre‑release screening on Church Street, with attendees saying they paid around Rs 499-Rs 500 for access.

This comes a day after Kamath released a shorter black-and-white promo that showed the duo in what looked like an industrial or factory environment, silently sipping from mugs — one of which had a SpaceX logo — and breaking into laughter.

That video triggered a wave of memes and speculation about whether the footage was artificial intelligence (AI)‑generated. This became worse when Grok, Musk‑owned X's in‑house AI chatbot, said in a reply to a user that the clip appeared to use AI face‑morphing between Kamath and Musk.

WTF has quickly scaled into a high‑profile talk show, also hosting guests such as PM Narendra Modi, Bill Gates, Vinod Khosla, and Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas.
