ICC Men's Test Player Rankings: Bumrah remains top bowler as Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav rise
Indian bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav have climbed the ICC Men's Test Player Rankings following their strong performances against the West Indies. Jasprit Bumrah maintains his top spot, while Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul also saw significant gains in the Test batter and all-rounder rankings.
Indian pacers Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav have climbed up the latest ICC Men's Test Player Rankings after standout performances in the Ahmedabad Test against the West Indies, while Jasprit Bumrah continues to reign as the world's top-ranked Test bowler.
India sealed a commanding innings-and-140-run win inside three days at the Narendra Modi Stadium, giving their World Test Championship campaign a strong boost. Several senior players were instrumental in the victory.
Siraj, who bagged seven wickets across both innings, jumped three places to 12th in the Test bowlers' rankings -- his highest career position so far. Bumrah, who took three wickets in the same match, comfortably retains the No. 1 spot. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav also gained ground, moving up seven places to joint 21st after taking four wickets in Ahmedabad.
The batting charts also saw movement. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja climbed six places to 25th, reaching a new career-high rating after his unbeaten century in the first Test against the West Indies. Teammate KL Rahul, who also struck a hundred in that game, rose four spots to 35th. England's Joe Root continues to hold a solid lead among Test batters.
Jadeja extended his dominance at the top of the Test all-rounders list, while Washington Sundar edged closer to the top 10, moving up four spots to 11th.
Beyond the Test arena, the latest T20I rankings reflected major shifts following the Australia–New Zealand series. Australian captain Mitch Marsh was the standout performer, scoring 197 runs in three innings while being dismissed only once. His efforts lifted him 13 places to joint 10th among T20I batters.
New Zealand's Tim Robinson surged 58 spots to equal 22nd after his century in the series opener, while Bangladesh's Saif Hassan gained 17 places to reach 18th following an unbeaten half-century against Afghanistan.
In the T20I bowlers' rankings, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan climbed six places to second, trailing only India's Varun Chakravarthy. His teammates Noor Ahmad and Mujeeb Ur Rahman also moved up -- to 17th and 23rd respectively -- while Australia's Josh Hazlewood rose 10 places to 13th after his three wickets against New Zealand.
