‘I Want Purple Hajmola’: Bengaluru Comedy Show Turns Into 10-Min Blinkit Test. Of Course, The Delivery Man Nails It
At a packed comedy show in Bengaluru, the crowd expected jokes, banter, and maybe a little roasting. What they didn't expect was a real-time experiment that would put a commerce giant to the ultimate test, live on stage. To add to that, hundreds of people in the audience were watching and cheering like it was a World Cup final.
It all began when the comedians, seemingly from a foreign land, spotted an audience member who casually mentioned she worked for Blinkit, the app famous for its “delivery in under 10 minutes" promise. Instantly sensing comedy gold, the performers decided to make the most of the opportunity.
“It comes in 10 minutes?" one of them asked, adding, “Order something right now and we'll check. Order me an iPhone 17 Pro Max on your credit card." The crowd erupted. But soon, they decided on something far more reasonable: Hajmola. Not just any Hajmola, they demanded the purple one. “Give me a Hajmola right now. Come on!" they insisted, turning the moment into comedy gold.
The woman opened the app. Someone yelled, “She is placing the order!" Another comedian dramatically shouted, “Timer! Start the timer!" The clock began ticking. Ten minutes, hundreds of people and one tiny packet of Hajmola.
The stage instantly transformed into a commentary panel as everyone panicked, screaming, “Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit." The energy was electric and the audience was on its feet.
And Then Blinkit Rider Walks In
And then it happened. Within just 10 minutes, a Blinkit delivery agent walked into the venue, literally onto the stage, holding the delivery bag and for the woman, the moment felt nothing short of a victory.
The comedian even interviewed the delivery agent with the help of a translator on stage, discovering he completes 40–45 deliveries a day. When asked how many deliveries does he fail to complete on time, he simply replies saying that out of all 40-50 deliveries, he gets late for 4 or 5 deliveries and fails to reach the location within the 10-minute mark.
Fun Comments Flood Post
The moment went instantly viral, with comments flooding social media like, “For all the people saying it's an ad, bro, I wish I was this good an actor." Another wondered, “Who told these guys about Hajmola! And the purple one at that!!!" Someone else joked, “BlinkIt ne Angrezo ke samne ijjat rakh li."
In a world that rarely feels spontaneous anymore, this unscripted moment has the Internet smiling and it seems it can't get enough.
