Govinda's long-rumoured marital discord has once again spilled into the public domain, with his wife Sunita Ahuja and nephew Krushna Abhishek now responding to his recent claims of a “conspiracy” against him. What began as Sunita's candid remarks about her troubled family life has snowballed into a series of statements, counter-statements, and emotional appeals from within the family.
Krushna Abhishek Responds To Govinda's ‘Conspiracy' Claim
After Govinda alleged that both Sunita and Krushna were being “used” to target him, the actor-comedian chose to respond with restraint. Speaking to HT City, Krushna said he prefers to look at his uncle's words positively rather than take offence.
“I love Govinda mama, and respect him. He is a legend, and has next level thoughts. So maybe that is the reason why he sees stuff on a different level. The same statement can look positive or sarcastic to different people, I take it in a positive way,” Krushna said, making it clear that he does not wish to escalate the situation.
Sunita Ahuja On Govinda's Alleged Affair
Sunita Ahuja earlier made headlines with her explosive interview with Miss Malini, where she openly spoke about her disappointment with Govinda and hinted at infidelity. Calling 2025 a particularly painful year, Sunita said, “The year 2025 was a disaster for me. My family life was disrupted. I was hearing things about Govinda. I was not happy with the things I was hearing about him.”
She added that at Govinda's age, such rumours were especially hurtful. “There is an age to do certain things and at 63 to hear these things, it is not good, especially when your kids are grown up,” she said. Looking ahead, Sunita expressed hope for change, adding, “In 2026, I just hope bhagwan Govinda ko sadbuddhi de. He must understand that family is family, and when you are in trouble, nobody stands beside you.”
Sunita also appeared to hint at the identity of the woman allegedly involved. In a moment that quickly went viral, she asked the host, “Is your name, Komal? Yeh naam thoda gadbad hai.” Laughing, she continued, “I hate the name Komal. Change this name. There is a girl named Komal, some xyz. I hate her.”
Govinda Breaks Silence On Sunita's Accusations
Reacting to Sunita's remarks, Govinda addressed the controversy in a statement to ANI, questioning why his personal life was being discussed so publicly. “How many times have I gotten married? It has been 40 years. Have I gotten married 2–3 times?” he said, adding that personal matters are rarely spoken about openly in the film industry.
He further remarked, “People who are in the film line don't discuss these things socially. I have rarely seen anybody spotless in this industry. However, when you get cornered, you think about how to get out of this.”
‘Krushna And Sunita Are Being Used': Govinda's Allegation
Govinda went on to claim that there is a deliberate attempt to malign him, alleging that even Krushna's television appearances contribute to this narrative. “Even if you see Krushna Abhishek's TV programmes, you will notice how writers would make him say things that would insult me,” Govinda said.
He added that he had warned his nephew about this earlier. “I told him that he is being used to insult me and told him to be cautious of this. When I warned Krushna, Sunita would get upset,” he said, describing himself as “more of a steady person” amid the chaos.
Concluding his statement, Govinda struck an emotional note, saying, “But you have to be alert in this industry because it is not that these conversations are happening just like that. There is some conspiracy going on, people are trying to create notions about me. I want to request not to create circumstances in my life that suffocate me, I request this especially from my own family.”
As the family's differences continue to play out publicly, Krushna's measured response stands in contrast to the intensity of the accusations, even as the situation remains unresolved.
