HCL Tech Q3 Results: Net Profit Falls 11% On Exceptional Item, Revenue Up 13%; Rs 12 Dividend Declared
HCL Tech Q3 Results: IT major HCL Technologies on Monday reported a 11.2 per cent decline year-on-year (YoY) in its net profit to Rs 4,076 crore for the third quarter ended December 2025 (Q3 FY26). However, its revenue during October-December 2025 increased 13.3 per cent to Rs 33,872 crore, compared with Rs 29,942 crore in the year-ago period.
Under ‘exceptional item', HCL Tech reported a ‘one-time impact of New Labour Codes' of Rs 956 crore during the Q3FY26 quarter.
Its consolidated net profit had stood at Rs 4,591 crore in the corresponding period last year (Q3 FY25), according to a regulatory filing.
The company has also declared a third interim dividend of Rs 12 per share. The record date for the dividend is January 16, and the payment date is January 27, according to the regulatory filing.
“The Board of Directors has declared an Interim Dividend of Rs. 12/- per equity share of Rs. 2/- each of the Company for the Financial Year 2025-26. The Record date for the payment of the aforesaid interim dividend shall be January 16, 2026, and the payment date of the said interim dividend shall be January 27, 2026," HCL said.
The IT company posted better-than-expected revenue of Rs 33,872 crore in the third quarter of FY26, marking a 6 per cent rise sequentially and a 13.3 per cent increase year-on-year. In constant currency terms, revenue grew 4.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter and 4.8 per cent on a yearly basis, while service revenue rose 1.8 per cent sequentially and 5 per cent year-on-year in constant currency terms.
During the quarter, revenue from advanced AI solutions saw a sharp uptick, climbing 19.9 per cent quarter-on-quarter in constant currency terms to $146 million.
TCV, or new deal wins, meanwhile grew more than 43 per cent YoY to $3,006 million.
HCL Tech announced that its total headcount stood at 2,26,379 at the end of December, with 261 net additions being recorded during the quarter.
The company added 2,852 freshers during Q3 FY26. Its LTM attrition stood at 12.4 percent, down from 13.2 percent in Q3 of last year.
HCL Tech FY26 guidance:
The company expects its revenue growth to be between 4 per cent and 4.5 per cent YoY in CC terms. Services revenue growth is expected to be between 4.75 per cent and 5.25 per cent YoY in CC.
EBIT margin is estimated to be in the range of 17-18 per cent, excluding the one-time impact from the new labour laws.
