GTA 6 launch is still far away and the parent company of Rockstar Games has assured the new game has been developed by its team and not by using generative AI tools. Take-Two has obviously noticed the changing trends in the industry and how much AI is being deployed by different developers.
But the parent company behind the popular GTA franchise claims that it will use AI but only for the tools and not creative inputs, which means the gameplay is being designed and developed by its workforce team. The CEO of the company, Strauss Zelnick was speaking during a recent earnings call, and mentioned that has been enthusiastic about the technology from day one and doesn't see AI as a threat.
GTA 6 Made Without AI Input
Zelnick was quick to dismiss the suggestions that his liking for AI will have some bearing on the new GTA 6 gameplay. “That said, do I think tools by themselves create great entertainment properties? No, there's no evidence that that's the case and it won't be the case in the future. Specifically with regards to GTA 6, Generative AI has zero part in what Rockstar Games is building."
The Take Two CEO has previously talked about the concerns of using AI in gaming, but he always felt that the technology cannot replace the impulsive and creative thinking of people.
Grand Theft Auto 6 or GTA 6 release has become a well-documented news and the delays have annoyed millions who can't wait to play the new title. But recently, rumours were floating around GTA 6 release is facing further issues and could be pushed to 2027 now which was always going to irk the users even more.
There have been some posts that claim Rockstar Games is going to further push the GTA 6 launch and people have shared their frustration about the rumour this week.
The GTA VI video with the purported demo was spotted on the internet earlier this month and reports claim the leak came from one of the former employees over at Rockstar Games. The demo video also gives us a closer look at the characters and some level of storyline that will have people satiating for more.
The popular title has already seen multiple delays which has pushed its release to 2026 after its early promise of releasing before the end of 2025 assuring the quality of the game is of utmost importance before its availability.
