Google Says Android Phones Can Fight AI-Powered Scams Better Than iPhones: Is This True?
Google has made a staggering claim recently where it says Android is actually safer compared to iPhones with scam messages and calls. The company has added its data to vouch for a big admission which seems quite possible only because of how the AI-powered scams are becoming smarter and you need advanced tools to fight them.
Google claims AI tools have made scammers powerful and allowed them to scam people to the tune of $400 billion globally, which is massive. The company has started working on tackling these AI-centric scams and has dished out the strategy applied and what results they are getting.
Android Safer Than iPhones For Online Scams
Google's recent data report also makes a pitch for the new Pixel 10 Pro model benefiting from the changes. It also points out that Android users see 58 percent less chance of falling for a scam compared to iPhone 17 users. Google says its AI-powered tools have been used to block 100 million suspicious numbers who were linked to its RCS messages.
The report paints iPhones in a different light, compared to what most people usually think. The survey done by YouGov and Google in the US, India and Brazil saw people feel more safer using Android phones as they received less scam messages than iPhone users.
The figures get even more convincing when using a Pixel phone, where 96 percent of the users are sure about scam messages being blocked by Google.

Other industry authorities have sided with Google and its results, offering assurance about Android devices being safer because of 10 AI-powered tools to protect the users, while iOS devices only have two of them. Google has developed call, message and suspicious link alerts when the company's AI detects something dangerous.
Apple will surely have its own say on these findings, and tell you that its privacy is much better than Android phones. The iPhone maker has even developed private computing systems to run its AI features, which, granted, are not as good as Google's Gemini but the focus on your data being safe from misuse cannot be understated.
