Gold and Silver Rates In India Today, April 07: Gold and silver prices in India continued to drop on April 7, during the RBI Monetary policy Committee (MPC) meet between April 6-8, 2026. The rate decision will be announced tomorrow, April 08, 2026, by Governor Sanjay Malhotra during a press conference. In Mumbai, the price of 24-carat gold rose to Rs 1,49,840 per 10 grams, while 22k gold was available at Rs 1,37,350 per 10 grams. These rates do not include GST and making charges.
Meanwhile, silver spot prices across India stood at Rs 1,50,000 per kg.
On the MCX, gold prices were trading down marginally at Rs 1,49,941 per 10 grams in the morning trade, while silver rose 0.11 per cent to Rs 2,33,634 per kg.
COMEX Gold futures remained steady around $4,676 per ounce, trading in a consolidating range. COMEX silver futures were holding around $72 per ounce.
Gold has fallen more than 14% so far this month, marking its steepest monthly decline since October 2008, pressured by the US dollar, which has gained more than 2% since the US-Israeli war on Iran began on February 28.
