France India Foundation hosts Young Leaders Programme to strengthen soft power bonds
The programme brought together 35 outstanding young leaders from both nations

The third iteration of the Young Leaders Programme, orchestrated by the France India Foundation, marked a milestone in fostering international collaboration. Thirty-five passionate leaders from France and India convened in New Delhi and Mumbai, immersing themselves in a series of impactful talks and insights centered around innovation and leadership.

The France India Foundation (FIF), an organization dedicated to fostering strong connections between emerging leaders in France and India, has successfully concluded the third edition of its Young Leaders Programme.

Held from 9-12th October in New Delhi and Mumbai, the programme brought together 35 outstanding young leaders from both nations, building on the success of the previous programme held in Paris and Chamonix in 2024. The Young Leaders are selected following a rigorous process based on their contributions across diverse fields such as business and start-ups, cultural and creative industries and public administration.

This year's programme featured prominent names such as Ghazal Alagh, Co-Founder of Honasa Consumer Ltd, Shashwat Goenka, Vice-Chairperson, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group; Pooja Dhingra, Founder of Le 15 Patisserie, Pratyush Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Sarvam AI and AI4Bharat, Chinmay Tumbe, Faculty Member-Economics at IIM Ahmedabad, to name a few and French participants included Mathilde Gaumé, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, Claire Mérouze, France's first woman Rafale fighter pilot, Cédric Meston, CEO of Groupe Revive, Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, CEO of Château Angelus Wines, French writer François-Henri Désirable, among others.

Set on the theme of ‘Innovation and Leadership in a Changing World', the group engaged in high level visits and meetings including a private visit to the Rashtrapati Bhawan, an interaction with Tata Sons Chairman, N. Chandrasekharan as well as discussions on the topics of AI, Bold Leadership, Cultural Diplomacy, Start-Up Journeys and Entrepreneurship.

The Young Leaders also interacted with Thierry Mathou Ambassador of France to India who hosted a dinner for the group with prominent personalities such as Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament and Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs. The France India Foundation has also launched an AI Initiative which will contribute to the AI Impact Summit to be held in February 2026 in New Delhi.

The France India Foundation is a not for profit organization focused on building strong, enduring relationships between France and India through a variety of initiatives, including the Young Leaders Programme. By fostering dialogue, networking, and collaboration, FIF seeks to promote mutual understanding and create pathways for meaningful Franco-Indian partnerships.

The France India Foundation is part of the France-Asia Foundation (FFA) network, which also includes the France China Foundation and the newly established France Japan Foundation. This network works to strengthen ties between France and key Asian nations through targeted initiatives and collaborative efforts.
