Firefox Gets ‘AI Windows’ To Take On Chrome And ChatGPT Atlas Browser: What It Offers

Mozilla is the latest to enter the AI browser war and power Firefox with a slew of features. Its new version is called AI Window where you will have an AI assistant to chat with and that is only triggered when you accept to use it.

Mozilla has always talked about giving users the control over their browsing patterns and even with AI it is happy to side with these policies which are different from other AI browsers like the new ChatGPT Atlas and even the Gemini infused Chrome. Calling it a Window means you can either keep it open (to access) or close it (if not using).

Firefox ‘AI Window' Update: What It Means

The company says the AI Window is more a panel built into the browser that will assist with any needs while you are browsing on the internet. The AI assistant guides you across different prompts or requests to give you the best and relevant details.

Mozilla says the tool is looking to support the users with browsers and not try to replace them. The company claims that its focus with AI is to be open and give users the choice which is refreshing to see but hopefully will be applied on the ground as well.

Perplexity, OpenAI and even Google have shown us what the future of browsing looks like but Mozilla is adopting AI to stay relevant in these times but not by shedding its values and that's where it could have more people signing up. The AI Window is still in development but you can get the early access version and try out before the full release is available.

Google is also quickly upgrading its AI models and the Gemini 3.0 version along with the Nano Banana 2 AI image tool are expected to be announced soon. The teasers around Nano Banana 2 launch suggests the new AI model will help you generate beyond the regular images. Reports say the new Nano Banana 2 version will help you generate charts, infographics with the help of prompts from the users.

More importantly, Google could let you download them in higher resolutions and also change the ratio to 9:16 or 16:9 so that people can tweak the image styles based on portraits and landscape visuals.
