Esha Deol's Ex-Husband Bharat Calls Hema Malini 'Mamma', Sends Her Birthday Wishes

Even though Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani have parted ways, they continue to share a cordial relationship not just with each other but with their families too. Recently too, Bharat took to his Instagram handle to send birthday wishes to Esha's mother, actress Hema Malini.

Bharat dropped a photo of Hema Malini and addressed her as ‘mamma'. “Wishing you a very happy birthday mamma. May all your wishes come true and you shine brighter and celebrate everyday as today," he wrote. Check it out here:

Besides Bharat, Esha also took to social media to wish her mother, the evergreen actress, a very happy birthday. “Happy birthday to my Queen my mamma & The Dream Girl of the nation …. We love you," she wrote.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani got married in 2012 but announced their separation in 2024, i.e. after 11 years of being together. Even though the two did not reveal the reason of their separation, they issued a joint statement confirming it was decided “mutually and amicably".

“We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We'd appreciate our privacy is respected," their statement read. The two are parents to their daughters, Radhya and Miraya.

In September this year, Esha talked about her equation with Bharat when it comes to coparenting their children. She mentioned that when two people decide to separate, they must maturely understand the situation and focus on their children's well-being.

“It's just that in life, sometimes, due to certain things, roles change. And if it doesn't work out in a certain equation of what two people were at one point, you must take it upon you, especially when you have children, the two mature individuals must take it upon them to work out in another dynamic but keep the unit together for the sake of the children. And that's exactly what Bharat and I do," the actress told the YouTube channel Mamaraazzi.

Meanwhile, Bharat seems to have found love again. He recently took to his Instagram handle and dropped a romantic photo with a mystery woman named Meghna Lakhani. In the photo, Bharat was seen holding Meghna close as they looked lost in each other's eyes. In the caption, Esha Deol's ex-husband wrote, “Welcome to the family, it's official".
