Viral Video Shows UK's Anti-Immigration Protesters Buying Indian Street Food In London
A video from a recently held far-right protest in London has gone viral, drawing widespread attention for an unexpected moment: anti-immigration demonstrators buying a traditional Indian snack, onion bhaji.
The clip, recorded during the “Unite the Kingdom" march spearheaded by anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson, has ignited debate across social media platforms.
The video was shared on X by the user @MikeTown44.

The protest, which took place on Saturday, drew over 100,000 participants to central London — making it one of the largest right-wing gatherings the UK has seen in recent years. Demonstrators waved British and English flags and chanted slogans such as “We want our country back" in opposition to immigration.
While the protest itself drew strong reactions, the clip of a protesters buying food from a stall named ‘Indian Street Food' sparked its own wave of commentary, with many users pointing out the irony.
One sarcastically wrote, “Let me have some Indian goodies to eat before protesting against Indians."
“There's nothing wrong with experiencing other cultures," another user commented.
Some users defended the protester, insisting the demonstration targeted illegal immigration, not immigrants in general. “By posting this it's clear to see you don't understand it's about illegal immigrants not immigrants….those immigrants obviously are legal as they have a business. Illegal is the key word here," read one comment.
Violence And Police Injuries
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the ‘Unite the Kingdom' protest was held alongside a counter-demonstration by the group ‘Stand Up to Racism,' which attracted around 5,000 people. Police efforts to keep the two groups separate met with resistance and violence.

According to police, 26 officers were injured, four of them seriously, after being kicked and punched while attempting to control parts of the crowd.
Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist said police were identifying those who were involved in the violence, adding that legal consequences would follow in the coming days.
