If there's one thing Max Verstappen never forgets, it's a grudge — and after this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, Lando Norris learned that the hard way.
Following a heated qualifying session where Norris blocked Verstappen on his final flying lap, the Dutchman left no doubt that he'd remember the slight.
Asked afterward if he'd get even, Verstappen smirked and said only: “I don't know…" before adding, with a trademark grin, “Yes."
And sure enough, he did — in perfect Verstappen fashion.
Sweet Revenge Under the Lights
On Sunday, Verstappen delivered a calm yet commanding drive, holding Norris firmly in check and finishing second, behind race-winner George Russell.
It wasn't the top step of the podium, but for the reigning world champion, it was more than enough to make his point.
The moment of vengeance didn't go unnoticed.
After the race, Verstappen took to Instagram, posting a slick shot of him leading Norris, a subtle nod to their qualifying dust-up.
“If I'm in Their Heads, That's Their Problem"
For Verstappen, though, this isn't about mind games — at least, not officially. The four-time champion brushed off talk of psychological warfare after the race, insisting he's focused purely on performance.
“I honestly don't care about those things at all," Verstappen said on Saturday. “I just live my life and do my own thing at the track. Then I go home and do other things. If others have me in their heads, then that's their problem."
Red Bull Back in the Fight
The Singapore weekend also marked a significant statement from Red Bull, who proved competitive on a circuit that's historically been tricky for them.

“Of course, that moment wasn't ideal, and of course I'd prefer to be on pole," Verstappen admitted. “But ultimately, we're still starting second. For us, that's a very good result on a track like this. We were extremely competitive, and that's what really matters to me."
If Singapore was any indication, Verstappen is back in full force — cool, clinical, and just a little bit petty. In other words, vintage Max.
