– The Election Commission of India (ECI) published the integrated draft electoral roll for Tamil Nadu following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise conducted across the State. Data released by election authorities shows significant deletions in several districts, with Chennai recording the highest number of removals.
– Pradeep Ghadi Amonkar, the original owner of the land on which the fire-damaged nightclub in North Goa took place, alleged on Friday that “some influential people" were shielding Surinder Kumar Khosla, one of the accused in the case.
– The U.S. military on Thursday carried out kinetic strikes on two vessels suspected of smuggling drugs in the Pacific Ocean. According to US Southern Command, five narco-terrorists were killed in these strikes. Three were killed in the first vessel and two in the second vessel, it said.

– Karnataka is experiencing a severe shortage of teachers, with 45,590 vacancies in primary schools out of the 1,78,935 sanctioned posts for 41,088 government primary schools, as stated by State School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa.

– Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to address some of the biggest challenges in education, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Thursday, as the Centre reviewed the ongoing integration of AI in school and higher education systems.
