Samsung is now making its 2025 flagship phones costlier as the Galaxy S25 prices in India have gone up by Rs 12,000 this week. This price hike is just for the regular Galaxy S25 model and not the Plus and Ultra variants in the series.
Other brands have already pulled the level on the prices of their existing and latest phones. Now Samsung is starting to dish out the same treatment for its older premium models and except for the base Galaxy S25 version, the higher storage tiers are the ones affected. The company has sent a demo to the retailers in the country with the revised Galaxy S25 prices.

The Galaxy S25 is still a competent, compact flagship even though the Galaxy S26 is available there. This phone features a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 12GB RAM which is still powerful hardware that you might not get for this price anymore.
If that doesn’t work for you then the 50MP main sensor along with a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto lens in the triple camera system is still capable of delivering quality images in most conditions.
The software support from Samsung is also one of the best, which means you can easily get the phone running for 5-6 years with regular updates from the brand and that makes it future-proof. The battery size is probably a concern but with the right optimisations and usage you can make the Galaxy S25 running for over 6 hours of screen-on-time.
The recent price increase for Samsung Galaxy S25 models in India applies only to the regular Galaxy S25 and not to the Plus or Ultra variants.
