Years ago, he made headlines for arresting Shah Rukh Khan's son, but later, Aryan was proven innocent. Now, following the release of Aryan's first web series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a scene featuring a man resembling Wankhede has become a hot topic, which many say mocks the ex-officer.
Amid this, Wankhede's wife, Kranti Redkar, shared a happy video of them visiting a temple, but the post sparked confusion.

Social media users began noticing something unusual about Wankhede's appearance in the clip, as they debated whether the man in the video was the real Wankhede or the actor playing his lookalike in Aryan's Netflix show. The video featured Redkar and Wankhede enjoying a peaceful moment at a temple, and in the floating text, she added, “God please let him smile in all the pictures."

Sameer Wankhede Files Defamation Case Against Aryan Khan

Sameer Wankhede recently filed a defamation case against Aryan Khan, along with Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's company, Red Chillies Entertainment. He claimed that the makers of The Ba***ds of Bollywood tried to damage his image and insult anti-drug agencies through the show. Wankhede called it a “serious violation" of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. He has also asked for Rs 2 crore in damages but stated that the full amount will be donated to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital to help cancer patients.
When Wankhede was the NCB zonal director, he arrested Aryan in a drug case. Aryan spent almost a month in jail before he was granted bail. Later, the investigation cleared him of all charges. After the case ended, Wankhede was moved from the NCB and transferred to the Revenue Department.
