HPBOSE HP Board Class 12 Results 2026 Live Updates: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBoSE) will be announcing the class 12 results 2026 today, May 4. Once released, students can check their HPBOSE Class 12th results using their official roll number by visiting the official website at hpbose.org. It is recommended to keep the roll number ready to avoid any last-minute difficulties. If the official website crashes or if students do not have internet access, they can also check their marks through SMS and DigiLocker. A total of 81,411 students appeared for the 12th-grade exams this year.

To pass the HP Board Class 12 exam, students must score at least 33 per cent marks overall as well as in each subject, which corresponds to at least a grade D. Last year, around 84,930 students appeared for the HP Board Class 12 exams, of whom 83.16 per cent passed. In 2024, the pass percentage was 73.76 per cent, while in 2023, it stood at 79.4 per cent.
This time, people reported instances of cheating, and HPBOSE made it clear that such behaviour would not be tolerated. For the first time, the board introduced live monitoring, with a live feed being sent to the government. Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board said he personally visited several schools.
The wait for Himachal’s official results is nearly over. The board is expected to announce the Himachal Pradesh 12th Result 2026 at any moment. Students are advised to keep their admit cards and roll numbers ready. The results for all three streams – Science, Commerce and Arts – will be declared simultaneously through a single link.
Students who wish to receive a physical marksheet of their Himachal Pradesh Board results can opt for this facility. By providing complete details and postal address in the application, the board will dispatch a hard copy of the certificate directly to their home via post.
The Himachal Pradesh Board has shown exceptional speed in evaluating answer sheets this year, enabling the results to be declared 13 days earlier than last year (May 17). This will help students plan their higher education in a timely manner.
Students will no longer face issues with their Himachal Pradesh 12th result, marksheets, or old certificates, as the process is being simplified.
Freedom from office visits: Students will no longer need to visit the Board headquarters in Dharamshala to obtain old records or certificates. Through the Aadhaar-linked system, they can access their documents from anywhere by logging into the portal.
Preventing fake certificates: The Himachal Pradesh Board believes that linking documents with Aadhaar will make it nearly impossible to create fake marksheets. This will enhance document authenticity and speed up the verification process.
Instant availability of duplicate certificate: If a student loses or damages the original certificate, they will be able to instantly download a duplicate copy from the portal using their Aadhaar number, saving valuable time.

Himachal Pradesh Board 12th Exam FAQs
Dual Mode Certificate: Students will now have two options to obtain their certificates – digital PDF or physical hard copy. After linking their Aadhaar card, they can choose any mode as per their convenience.
Choice at the time of application: After the declaration of the Himachal Pradesh 12th Result 2026, students will have to choose their preferred mode while applying for the certificate. Those opting for PDF will receive a digital copy immediately, whereas students choosing a hard copy will need to provide their complete postal address.
Hard copies delivered to your home: The Himachal Pradesh Board will send hard copy certificates directly to the students’ home addresses. Students must note that the board has fixed separate fees for both the PDF and hard copy services.
If a student falls short of passing by just 1 or 2 marks, the Himachal Pradesh Board reserves the right to award limited ‘grace marks’ to raise his/her score to the passing marks.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education will announce the annual Class 12th results for all three streams (Arts, Science, and Commerce) today at 11 am from its headquarters in Dharamshala. A total of 81,411 students took the exam this time. Board Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma will officially declare the results, based on examinations conducted in March and April. This year, the board has set a record by releasing the results 13 days earlier than last year. Previously, the results were announced on May 17th, when 86,373 students appeared for the exam and the pass percentage after revision was 88.64%.

As per Himachal Board rules, students must score at least 33 per cent in each subject to pass. If a student falls short in one or two subjects, the board provides an opportunity to appear in compartment exams.
To pass the HP board 12th exam, students need to secure at least 33 per cent marks overall as well as in each subject. This means they have to grade D at least.
