US President Donald Trump says a framework has been “largely negotiated”, and discussions are underway with countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. The US and Iran have been working towards a peace agreement to end the war. (HT) The proposed memorandum of understanding (MoU) is expected to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, extend the ceasefire to 60 days and ease tensions across the Gulf and begin talks on Iran’s nuclear programme.
