DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Application For 195 Posts Begins Sept 27, Check Details
This is a great opportunity for young individuals aspiring to receive training in military research for the future. The DRDO has released the Apprentice Recruitment 2025 notification for training at the Research Center Imarat in Hyderabad. This programme offers a one-year training period, with applications accepted from September 27, 2025, until October 28, 2025.
The recruitment process will fill a total of 195 vacancies, including 40 positions for Graduate Apprentices, 20 for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices, and 135 for ITI Trade Apprentices.
Candidates should note the important dates: the short notification was released on September 22, and the full notification will be available on September 27.
DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: The required educational qualifications vary by category. Candidates with degrees in ECE, EEE, CSE, BE, or BTech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering are eligible for the Graduate Apprentice posts.
For Technician Apprentice positions, a diploma in the respective disciplines is necessary. Candidates applying for ITI Trade Apprentice roles should have completed ITI in trades such as Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Mechanic-Diesel, Draughtsman (Mechanical), Electronic Mechanic, Electrician, COPA, or Library Assistant.
Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 18 years old as of September 1, 2025. Age relaxations will be provided as per government regulations.
DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process begins with shortlisting candidates based on their academic qualifications and technical skills, followed by document verification where original certificates and identity documents must be presented. Finally, a medical test will assess the candidates' physical fitness for the apprenticeship.
DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Stipend
The stipend for selected graduate candidates is Rs 9000 and for diploma candidates, it is Rs 8000.
“Depending upon the vacancies available in various categories and disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of academic merit / written test / interview as may as required, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents," states the official notice.
