70-Year-Old UP Uncle’s First Vlog Gets 21 Million Views Within A Day, Jay Bhanushali Says ‘Aglay Walay Ka Intezar Hai’
Starting a journey as a content creator is rarely easy. Most people post videos for months, sometimes years, without much attention. View are few and consistency becomes the biggest test. Often, it takes just one unexpected moment for things to change. For one elderly man, that moment arrived much sooner than anyone imagined.
Recently, a video that features a 70-year-old man has caught the widespread attention of social media users.
70-Year-Old Man Starts Vlogging
In the clip, he introduces himself with confidence and honesty, saying, “70 saal ki umar mein mai apna pehla vlog bana raha hu. Mera naam Vinod Kumar Sharma hai. Main UP ka rehne wala hu. Mujhko vlog banana ni aata fir bhi mai koshish kar raha hu ki samay vyatit karne ke liye, vlog banaya jaye. Aasha hai aapko mera ye vlog pasand ayega jisse ki mai prothsahit ho kar, aage bhi es karya ko jari rakh sakhu (At the age of 70, I am making my first vlog. My name is Vinod Kumar Sharma. I am from Uttar Pradesh. I don't know how to vlog, but I am trying to spend my time by making videos. I hope you like this vlog so that I feel encouraged to continue this work)."

He later reacted after people loved his vlog and said, “Ap sabhi ka itna pyar mila bahut bahut dhanyawad mera bacho mujhe aj akele feel nahi ho raha hai."
A Simple Introduction That Touched Millions
What made the video stand out was its simplicity. Within a single day of being shared, the video crossed eighteen million views. Many viewers said the video made them smile, while others praised his confidence. TV actor Jay Bhanushali too dropped a sweet note under the clip. He said, “Agle vlog ka intezaar kah raha hoon, bahut acha laga aapka pehla vlog."
One user wrote, “Bahut pasand aya dada ji (I really liked it, grandpa)."
Another commented, “Keep it up uncle, liked your confidence."
“You go uncle!! Your vlog made me smile today. Thank you," someone else remarked while a person added, “New competitor in the house youngsters."
Day 2: Gratitude Takes Centre Stage
After seeing the overwhelming response, Vinod shared his second vlog. In the video, he spoke about how unexpected the love had been. “Kal maine apna pehla vlog dala. Mujhe ye aasha nahi thi ki mera vlog itna chal jayega (Yesterday, I uploaded my first vlog. I did not expect it to perform so well)," he said.
He went on to add, “Par lakho baccho ne eska bharpur sehyog kara. Mujhko nahi pata tha ki ek million mein kitne views hote hai. Par jab mera vlog 9 million se zyada chala, eska arth hai, 90 lakh logo ne dekha. Mai sabhi ka dil se dhaynawad karta hu. Mai yahi kahunga ki tab tak mat rukna jab tak saare taane, taaliyo mein na badal jaye (But lakhs of youngsters supported it wholeheartedly. I didn't even know how many views one million meant. When my vlog crossed 9 million views, it meant that 90 lakh people had watched it. I thank everyone from my heart. I would just say, don't stop until all taunts turn into applause)."

Numbers That Tell Their Own Story
Vinod's Instagram journey began just five days ago and so far, his grid features only five videos. Despite this, each video has crossed at least six lakh views. His follower count has already crossed 40,000 and continues to grow steadily. Alongside Instagram, he also started a YouTube channel in January which gained over 100 subscribers within a day of launch.
