7-Year-Old Beaten, Hung Upside-Down From Window. Principal Justifies Actions: ‘I Informed The Parents’ | Video
A shocking incident in Panipat, Haryana, has put a school under scrutiny. The bus driver and the principal of Srijan Public School were arrested after videos surfaced showing their alleged harsh treatment towards students. One of the most disturbing clips shows a 7-year-old boy tied and hung upside down from a classroom window.
Another video showed the principal slapping a student in front of others. Rather than admitting her mistake, she defended her actions, claiming the children were misbehaving and that she had already spoken to their parents.
Shocking Child Abuse In Panipat School Sparks Outrage
Although the incidents occurred in August, they came to light only recently after the videos went viral, sparking concerns about child safety in schools. According to reports in The Republic, the boy who was hung upside down had been punished for not completing his homework.
His mother, Doli, revealed that her son had recently joined the school and was still adjusting. She alleged that it was the principal who called the bus driver, Ajay, and instructed him to punish her son. Justifying her action, the school principal, Reena, said, “The students had misbehaved with two girls. I informed their parents before punishing them."

Harsh Punishment At School Draws Online Fury
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Seen such incidents, these are not punishments. She should be jailed."
Another shared, “Humanity is gradually vanishing from every human around."
“Teachers were very strict in our time too, but there is so much difference between the beating of that time and the beating of today that the teacher of this time is taking out their household tensions on the children," a comment read.
One more added, “Public schools and hospitals are a joke in India."
Case Registered Under The Juvenile Justice Act
The Model Town Police Station has registered a case under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015. Officials confirmed that a detailed investigation is underway and assured parents and the public that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found responsible for the mistreatment of the children.

According to Panipat Police, the case was handled urgently under the supervision of SP Shri Bhupendra Singh, IPS. Officials stated that swift action was taken as soon as the videos surfaced. Singh personally visited the school with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team and other officers to closely assess the situation.
