A three-member Election Commission team will visit Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, and Jalpaiguri districts from November 5-8. They will monitor the special intensive revision of electoral rolls. Over 80,000 Booth Level Officers will conduct house-to-house visits until December 4. This process aims to update voter lists across West Bengal's assembly constituencies. Helpdesks are also available for voter assistance.

A three-member team of the Election Commission of India (EC) will visit three districts of Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri to monitor the work on the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls from November 5-8. The team comprises deputy election commissioner Gyanesh Bharti, principal secretary SB Joshi and deputy secretary Abhinav Agarwal.

The EC team will be accompanied by WB-CEO Manoj Agarwal, a top EC official said. They will monitor the field work and review the work done by BLOs as they begin the distribution of enumeration forms from Tuesday.

Around 80,681 BLOs will conduct the house-to-house visits, which will continue till December 4. An additional 14,000 BLOs will assist them. Altogether 7,66,37,529 voter enumeration forms (two each for a voter) have been printed for 294 assembly constituencies. "Booth mapping of 2,45,71,114 voters has been done which is 32.06% of the total population," Additional CEO Arindam Niyogi said. Altogether 659 helpdesks have been set up to help voters across the state.
