Did You Know Dharmendra’s Dance With Salman And Saif In Deewangi Deewangi Was Unplanned?

Veteran actor Dharmendra is currently receiving treatment at his residence after being discharged from Breach Candy Hospital a few days back. Dharmendra isn't just an actor; with his talent and never-dying charisma, he has become a heartthrob. Among the many movies he has done, Dharmendra's cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om remains one of the most memorable moments he has given us.

The Deewangi Deewangi song from 2007's Om Shanti Om has to be one of the most iconic songs, with almost the entire industry coming together to make it grand. Recently, Farah Khan revealed a sweet story about the filming of the shoot and how it was veteran actor Dharmendra's cameo that became memorable with one unscripted shot.

Farah Khan, in a conversation, shared that Salman Khan was supposed to shoot in the morning, and she had planned an evening slot to capture Dharmendra's cameo. So, after giving his shot, Salman waited for four hours just to see the veteran actor dance. Farah shared, “Salman… waited for four hours in Shah Rukh's van to watch Dharam ji's shot. He wasn't obligated to be there; he was simply that excited to see the veteran superstar perform."

While Salman wasn't obligated to wait, he wanted to watch him dance, and soon, this excitement spilled onto the set. Remember the scene where Dharmendra was seen dancing with Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan? It was all unscripted.

Yes, you read that right. Speaking about it, Farah revealed, “That wasn't planned," and continued, “They were standing behind the camera… and while Dharam ji was dancing, they just jumped into the shot." She also recalled the hilarious confusion Saif Ali Khan faced and added, “If you see Saif, he doesn't know what is happening. He's like, ‘Kya ho raha hai?'"

About the veteran actor Dharmendra

Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for several days before he was discharged from the hospital on November 12. Following his discharge, the Deol family issued an official statement requesting privacy and thanking well-wishers for their support. The statement read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family's privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone's love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you."

The actor will soon be seen in Ikkis. The upcoming biographical war drama stars Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, alongside Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films, the film is slated for a December theatrical release and has already created a strong buzz among audiences.
