Dharmendra's Health Improves, Hema Malini And Family Now Planning To Celebrate His 90th Birthday
Veteran actor Dharmendra, who got discharged from the hospital recently, is now recovering at home. On Saturday, a new report by Bollywood Hungama claimed that the health of Bollywood's He-Man is improving. Therefore, Hema Malini and family are now planning to celebrate his 90th birthday.
“If God is willing, we will be celebrating two birthdays next month — Dharamji's and Esha's," a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed. For the unversed, Dharmendra will turn 90 on December 8. On the other hand, his daughter, Esha Deol, turned a year older on November 2. She did not celebrate her birthday back then but is waiting for her father's recovery.
Dharmendra, who had been admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated, spent several days receiving treatment before being discharged on November 12. During his stay, false rumours about his death circulated widely, prompting his wife, actor Hema Malini, and daughter Esha Deol to issue public statements on November 11 confirming that he was alive and recovering.
Following his discharge at 7:30 am on Tuesday, the Deol family issued an official statement requesting privacy and thanking well-wishers for their support. The statement read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family's privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone's love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you."
Recently, a video of Dharmendra went viral on social media in which he was seen lying on a hospital bed, appearing unconscious, with his family by his side. The video showed Dharmendra lying unconscious on a hospital bed while his sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, stood beside him. Also seen in the clip were Sunny's sons, Karan and Rajveer Deol, along with Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur, seated near the actor. The family appeared visibly emotional in the footage, which quickly went viral across social media platforms.
