A disturbing video has surfaced online from Delhi where a man was seen physically assaulting a woman in a park. It is being claimed that both of them are in relationship and an argument took place between them which escalated to physical assault by the man. The incident occurred at Japanese Park: Swarn Jayanti Park.
The episode was recorded by another man who was present inside the park at the time. According to him, he had gone there for a walk and was sitting on a nearby bench when he noticed the altercation unfolding.
Man Slaps Woman Multiple Times In Delhi Park
In the recording, the person filming can be heard explaining the situation. He says, “Mai park aya hua tha round kaatne ke liye aur mai inke piche hi baitha tha dusri bench par. Ye dekhiye, mai in dono dekhra tha. Ye ladka kafi der se apni girlfriend ko maar raha tha. 30-40 thappad kha chuki hai ye ladki (I had come to the park for a walk and was sitting on a bench behind them. I was watching them. This man has been hitting his girlfriend for some time. She has already been slapped 30-40 times)."
The visuals show the couple engaged in a heated argument. Moments later, the man is seen slapping the woman. The person recording further adds, “Ab dekhiye ye itne toxic relationship mein hai, itni der se lad rahe hai, behes kar rahe hai. Bahut tez-tez maar raha tha, aas pas ke sab log dekh rahe hai. Mujhko majbooran video banani padi.
Aise relationship mein rehna zaruri hai jaha maar khani pade, thappad khana pade. Ab dekhiye apne hisab se (Now see, they are in such a toxic relationship, they have been fighting and arguing for so long. He was hitting her very hard, everyone around was watching. I was forced to record this. Is it necessary to stay in a relationship where you have to get beaten and slapped? Now judge for yourself)."
The woman remains seated on the bench during the confrontation, as the man strikes her again on the back before eventually getting up.

Outrage Over Public Assault
The incident has sparked strong reactions with many calling out the man’s behaviour towards his girlfriend.
One user commented, “The most shocking part? How many people just walk by. Witnessing a woman get slapped 30-40 times and only having one person record is a heartbreaking reflection of our society. This isn’t a “private matter" between a couple; it’s a violent assault. We have to stop normalising “toxic" relationships when they are clearly criminal behaviour."
Another said, “Real men don’t raise their hands on women. If you can’t handle your emotions, you don’t deserve a relationship. Violence isn’t love, it is weakness. Real masculinity is protecting her in public and respecting her in private."
“The fact that girl is sitting there, taking slaps from him, makes me so angry. Dammit are you glued to the bench. Have some respect for yourself and leave. People who love you don’t hit you. Abusers always escalate, and this man is f***** abuse," someone else sharply wrote.
An individual demanded, “Please report this person."
A user tagged official account of Delhi Police and said, “For your action against violence in public. He is assaulting her so badly."
“And yet she chose to stay. Says a lot about self-respect of humans these days," a viewer remarked while a person added, “Attachment makes you compromise with your self-respect."
As of now, there has been no official update from the Delhi Police on whether any action has been taken against the man.
