Decoding The Protein-Forward Eating Philosophy That Keeps Aditya Roy Kapur Fit At 40

Turning 40 has only sharpened Aditya Roy Kapur's reputation as one of Bollywood's hottest stars. While his fitness levels and lean muscular frame often become social media talking points, the actor's approach to food reveals an equally strong commitment to consistency and balance. Rather than chasing trends, he relies on a nutrient-dense, protein-forward diet that has supported his performance, stamina, and screen presence for years.

Aditya Roy Kapur has long maintained that the foundation of his fitness lies not only in training, but in eating in a way that energises him daily. And as he enters a new decade of his life, his food choices reflect a thoughtful blend of nourishment, routine, and mindful indulgence.

In an earlier interview with Bollywood Hungama, Aditya detailed his strictly structured meal plan that prioritises protein at every step. His morning begins with a bowl of oats mixed with eggs, a combination he swears by. For lunch, he sticks to a comforting Indian plate: three chapatis, chicken and a vegetable bhaji, keeping it familiar yet nutrient-rich.

The most surprising detail? His evening snack also revolves around eggs – six of them, cooked to preference. Dinner closes with meat and vegetables, making his day bookended by lean protein sources. Aditya has a soft spot for certain foods like mangoes, bhindi and prawns, which often find their place in his small meals throughout the day.

And when it comes to favourites, he has no hesitation: “Chicken curry… I eat it every day," he confessed.

While he follows a disciplined routine on most days, Aditya loves his indulgences rooted in Indian cuisine. Cheat days for him are unapologetically hearty: mutton curry with chapati, mutton biryani, and desserts ranging from gajar ka halwa to apple pie, waffles, pancakes and ‘tubs of ice cream'.

On Kareena Kapoor Khan's What Women Want podcast, Aditya revealed a habit that speaks volumes about his disciplined lifestyle: “I have been eating the same breakfast for the last 8 years… oats infused with some flavour and eggs infused in that." He added that the mixture doesn't taste “eggy," but gives him a sweet kick paired with fruit, making it an ideal start to his morning.
