French software maker Dassault Systemes is expanding its India presence with increasing investments, headcount by 10% and new Pune facility in the country taking the business here to $1 billion in the next five years, its global CEO Pascal Daloz told ET.
"The next milestone we have is to have $1 billion (in revenue), by 2030, that is something we can do," said Daloz. While macro environment has delayed the goalposts by around two years from earlier 2028, the company aspires to see India, currently 5% of global revenue of about $7 billion, among the top five markets in the next five years.

Over the last five years, the European software maker has invested over ₹ 140 million ($162 million), with over $100 million in the last 18 months in the Pune campus emphasising India as its strategic hub for innovation and talent.
"We already have over 20% of the global workforce in India, and with the new facility, we can support up to 30% of the global workforce," Daloz said. Optimistic on the India growth story, Daloz pointed out that if India is on the way to become the third largest economy, then it should also be its third largest market eventually.
"If you want to understand, where and how much our revenue is, and where it is coming from, you look at the worldwide GDP. It is relatively well aligned," he explained.
He added this will be supported through India's growing GDP supported by manufacturing, infrastructure and defence markets and talent at scale and partnerships in young entrepreneurs and startups. Daloz is on a one-week visit to India to expand the country's operations.
He highlighted that while India and Europe always had a trade relationship, the India-European Union trade talks have definitely seen an acceleration recently from an investment standpoint. "Since my time here, I've seen four different French CEOs have come here. Ten years ago, I was the only one," he said.
