Apple will have been planning this succession for a long time. Rumours were circulating for a while that 65-year-old Tim Cook was thinking about stepping down, and while a few potential replacements popped up, the name which stuck was the firm's vice president of hardware, 51-year-old John Ternus
Apple has announced a major leadership change. On April 20, the company named John Ternus as its next CEO, with Tim Cook set to move into the role of executive chairman from September 1. This marks a big shift, as a long-time insider prepares to take charge during an important phase for the company

Crystal Palace Vs Tottenham Hotspur: Archie Gray Delivers Big Win For Under-Fire Thomas Frank
Tottenham secured a crucial three points with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, providing some respite for under-pressure manager Thomas Frank. Meanwhile, Sunderland were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds on Sunday. Archie Gray emerged as Spurs' unlikely hero, netting his first senior goal to clinch the win at Selhurst Park, marking just their second triumph in nine league matches.
Despite Richarlison's two disallowed goals for offside, Gray's header proved decisive against a Palace side struggling after a demanding schedule. Frank praised his team's resilience, stating, “The team showed great resilience today and I think the desire beat the details in the game."
The Eagles have now gone five games without a win, as their limited resources are stretched across three competitions. Oliver Glasner criticised his team's set-piece defending following a 4-1 defeat to Leeds last weekend, and once again a dead ball situation cost them against a Tottenham side lacking creativity.
This overdue victory may temporarily ease the scrutiny on Frank, but the lack of flair in Tottenham's performance will do little to silence his critics. The visitors failed to produce a shot on target from open play in the first half, with Richarlison's goal ruled out by VAR for offside.
Gray's header from Richarlison's flick at a corner marked his first goal in 112 appearances for Tottenham and Leeds. Palace controlled possession and territory after the break but lacked the finishing touch to punish Spurs. Justin Devenny missed a close-range chance and Maxence Lacroix headed wide.
Palace had another reprieve when Richarlison converted Mohammed Kudus' cross, only for VAR to intervene once again. However, Tottenham held on to move up to 11th place, just one point behind Palace in ninth.
Earlier in the day, Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored for the sixth consecutive Premier League game, helping Leeds to a draw at Sunderland's Stadium of Light. Simon Adingra gave the Black Cats a half-time lead, but Calvert-Lewin's early second-half equaliser pulled Leeds further away from the relegation zone.
Sunderland remain unbeaten at home in their return to the top flight but have been affected by the absence of six players due to the Africa Cup of Nations. Adingra, who was instrumental in Ivory Coast's AFCON victory last year, was not selected this time, benefiting Sunderland as he scored his first goal for the club from Granit Xhaka's through ball.
Leeds dominated large parts of the first half and started the second half strongly. Calvert-Lewin converted Brenden Aaronson's low cross for his eighth goal of the season, with seven coming in the last six games. The former Everton striker's form has been pivotal in Leeds' push towards safety, securing manager Daniel Farke's position.

Farke, who was reportedly close to being dismissed prior to Leeds' five-game unbeaten run, commented, “The feeling was if we were a bit more clinical we should have won the game." Sunderland missed the chance to overtake Manchester United and Chelsea, but they remain seventh, just four points off the top four.
