Cristiano Ronaldo Reignites Fiery GOAT Debate: "Messi Better Than Me? I Don’t Agree"
The eternal football debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi has flared up once again — this time, courtesy of Ronaldo himself.
In a preview of his upcoming interview with Piers Morgan, set to air on November 4, the Al Nassr star was asked the age-old question: “They say Messi is better than you. What do you think?"
Ronaldo's response was emphatic.
“Messi better than me? I don't agree with that opinion. I don't want to be humble," he said confidently.

The Portuguese legend's comments are sure to reignite one of football's most polarizing debates.
Between them, Ronaldo and Messi have won 13 Ballon d'Ors, countless league titles, and every major club trophy imaginable, shaping football's modern era like no other duo.
Both now in the twilight of their careers, the two icons have taken their rivalry beyond Europe: Ronaldo chasing glory in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr, while Messi continues to mesmerise fans in Major League Soccer with Inter Miami.
In the same interview, Morgan also brought up remarks from Ronaldo's former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, who once said Messi was the better player.
Ronaldo dismissed the comments with typical composure.
“It doesn't bother me at all," he said.

Whether this latest comment from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner settles the debate or fuels it further, one thing remains clear: these two legends have defined the modern era of football.
While Ronaldo has made it very clear that he is not thinking about retirement yet, he will surely only get one last chance to lift the biggest prize of them all next year, and perhaps face Messi in the biggest of stages one final time — at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
