Complaint Filed Against Toxic Teaser For Allegedly Being 'Obscene', Women's Commission Steps In
The Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Women's Wing has submitted a formal complaint to the Karnataka State Women's Commission, raising concerns over the recently released teaser of Yash's upcoming movie, Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. The complaint, submitted by Aam Aadmi Party state secretary Usha Mohan, claims that the teaser contains objectionable visuals that could adversely affect children's mental well-being.
As reported by NDTV, AAP leaders say that the complaint has been filed ‘to safeguard social morality and protect vulnerable sections of society'. The petitioner has urged that the teaser be withdrawn and removed from social media platforms.
Taking note of the complaint, the Commission has asked the CBFC to examine the issue as per the rules and submit a report detailing the action taken.
For the unversed, the teaser of Toxic was released on Yash's 40th birthday earlier this month. One of the most talked-about moments of the teaser was a scene involving a woman getting intimate with Yash inside a car. The clip from the teaser had instantly gone viral on social media.
