CLAT 2026 Results Declared; Counselling Registration Open Till December 27
CLAT 2026 Results Declared: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has declared the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026. Along with the results, the Consortium has released the counselling schedule for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by participating NLUs.
The counselling registration window will close at 10 pm on December 27. Eligible candidates can check their results and complete the counselling process through the official website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
To log in, candidates need their CLAT 2026 application number or admit card details along with their date of birth. The scorecard includes personal details, marks obtained, All India Rank (AIR) and category rank.
CLAT 2026 was conducted on December 7, from 2 pm to 4 pm, in pen-and-paper mode. The exam was held across multiple centres in states and Union Territories across the country. Out of 92,344 registered candidates, 88,657 appeared for the examination. This year, registrations increased by 17 per cent compared to previous years. The attendance rate was 96.83% for undergraduate candidates and 92.45% for postgraduate candidates.
The Consortium said the answer sheets were evaluated and verified on December 14 and 15. The results were placed before the Governing Body on December 16 and approved the same day.

CLAT 2026 Counselling Schedule
Counselling registration: December 16 (6 pm) to December 27 (10 pm)
First allotment list: January 7, 2026 (10 am)
Second allotment list: January 22, 2026 (10 am)
Third allotment list: February 5, 2026 (10 am)
Fourth allotment list: May 2, 2026 (10 am)
Final allotment list: May 15, 2026 (10 am)
After each allotment round, candidates must complete admission formalities and pay the confirmation fee within the specified deadline. During counselling, candidates can choose from three options — Freeze (accept the seat), Float (seek an upgrade), or Exit (withdraw from counselling).

Candidates opting to freeze their seat in the first three rounds must pay the university fee by April 24, 2026. Those freezing seats in later rounds will have to follow the payment schedule announced by their respective NLUs.
Failure to complete the required steps within the given timeline may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat, the Consortium has warned.
