CLAT 2026 Provisional Answer Key Out, Raise Objection By December 12
The Common Law Admission Test or CLAT 2026 provisional answer key has been released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). Those who took the exam held on December 7, 2025, can visit the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in to check and download the answer key. Objections, if any, can be raised by December 12 up to 5 PM by paying a fee of Rs 500 per question challenged.
The Consortium has also released all four question papers along with the answer key. Candidates can use the answer key and the marking scheme to calculate their probable scores. As per the marking scheme, for every correct answer, candidates will earn one mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
“If Candidates raise objections using question numbers that do not match their respective Question Booklet set as indicated above, the CLAT Consortium shall not respond to such objections," states the official website.

Step 4: Check and download the answer key
Step 5: Raise objections by logging in to your CLAT account
Step 6: Upload supporting documents. Click on the ‘Submit Objection' button

If you are aiming for an undergraduate CLAT 2026 admission, ensure you have scored at least 45 per cent in your Class 12 examination. However, candidates from the SC and ST categories have a lower threshold of 40 per cent. If you are pursuing postgraduate CLAT admission, you should have an LLB degree with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Applicants from SC and ST categories enjoy a 5 per cent relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks.
