China’s Electric Vehicle Shows ‘Crab Walk’ In Viral Video: ‘Exactly Like Me When There’s A Conflict’

China's growth in technology has reached a level that surprises people across the world. Whether it is bullet trains or modern city systems, the country continues to roll out technology that seems futuristic. Their electric vehicles are also turning heads with features that seem almost unbelievable at first glance.

Now, a new video has caught everyone's attention, showing a car that can rotate its wheels 90 degrees and move sideways. It sounds unreal, but the clip shows it happening on a busy road.

Car Shows Sideways Movement In Traffic

The video opens with a long line of cars and buses waiting in traffic. A small car is stuck between them, unable to move forward. The car suddenly rotates its wheels to the side and begins to slide across the road.

This sideways movement, known as “crab walking," helps the vehicle slip out of tight spots with ease. Within seconds, it shifts from the main lane to the side and drives away smoothly. The Audi behind it then moves forward and takes its place in the line.

Feature That Makes City Driving Easier

The caption on the video reads, “This shows how cars can move sideways, welcome to China's EV future!"

The post also explains, “In China, some futuristic electric cars, like the BYD Yangwang U7 and Baojun Yep, can rotate their wheels 90° to move sideways, a feature called ‘crab walking'! This allows them to slide into tight parking spots or even perform a 360° turn, making city driving and parking super easy and futuristic."

It ends by asking viewers, “Could you imagine parking this easily in your city?"

Shared on October 4, the clip has gained more than 1.3 million views and many comments from amused users. A person said, “It looks like a bike lane or some sort of emergency lane, though."
