Donald Trump rebuked China, India, and NATO for their continued oil purchases from Russia. He claimed these actions indirectly fund the Ukraine war. US President Donald Trump on Tuesday renewed his sharp criticism of China, India, and even NATO nations, accusing them of indirectly supporting Russia's war in Ukraine by continuing to purchase its oil.
"China and India are the main funders of the war by continuing to buy Russian oil. I found out a week ago that even NATO nations are funding a war. Even NATO countries have not cut off russian energy," he said while addressing the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Taking about the ongoing wars around the world, Trump launched a sharp critique of the UN, claiming that over the past seven months he had independently ended “seven unendable wars" with no help from the international body.
“I had to end wars instead of the United Nations. The UN has such tremendous potential, but it's not even coming close to living up to that potential. They just write a strongly worded letter and then they don't do anything about those words," he said.
“I had to end wars instead of the United Nations," the two-time US President added.
'Golden Age of America'
Shifting to domestic matters, Trump noted his record on immigration, claiming that for the past four months “the number of illegal aliens entering our country has been zero.”
He used this as an example of strengthened national security and governance, linking it to a broader narrative of American resurgence.
The businessman-turned-politican also painted a picture of dramatic economic recovery. “One year ago, our country was in deep trouble,” he said, “but today the United States stands as the hottest country.”
Trump went further, describing the current period as “the golden age of America,” attributing it to fortified borders, a robust economy, and renewed national confidence.
He outlined a series of domestic economic gains, asserting that energy and gasoline prices had fallen, grocery and mortgage costs had eased, and inflation had been “defeated.” The Republican leader also marked record stock market performance and wages increasing at their fastest pace in recent years, presenting these trends as evidence of American economic strength.
