BTS Disbanding After 15 Years? RM's Comment During Livestream With Jimin Has ARMY Worried
BTS, one of the world's biggest K-pop acts, is no stranger to explosive fan reactions—especially when something unexpected is said during a livestream. That's exactly what happened recently when BTS leader RM appeared with Jimin in a Weverse session that instantly sent ARMY into speculation mode. The band, whose journey has inspired countless rookies in the Korean entertainment industry, is currently gearing up for their reunion and upcoming group album following the completion of all members' military duties.
During a post-practice livestream on November 21, RM and Jimin joined fans for an impromptu interaction. However, things took a humorous turn when the duo realized that their broadcast only had a single viewer. Jimin jokingly pointed out, “Only 1 person joined. The network doesn't really work here, but there's really just 1 viewer."
RM then added with a laugh, “Let's call it quits on our tea. Time to disband?" Jimin immediately reacted, “What do you mean, time to disband?" before breaking into laughter. RM further joked, “Because there's no one to watch us now." The playful interaction instantly spread across social media, with some fans momentarily confused and others amused by RM's deadpan delivery.
While a few viewers initially wondered if the leader was being serious, fans quickly realized the moment was meant to be humorous. RM and Jimin's banter came across as two bandmates poking fun at the poor connectivity and the oddly low viewer count—not a reflection of BTS' future.
With the group preparing to reunite in full strength once all members complete their military service, BTS remains one of the strongest forces in the global music industry.
BTS was formed in 2010 and consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. The group debuted under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013 with the single album “2 Cool 4 Skool." Since then, they have written and co-produced most of their music, proudly representing “Bangtan Sonyeondan," meaning Bulletproof Boy Scouts.
Their rise has been historic—BTS became the fastest group since The Beatles to earn four number-one albums in under two years. Songs like “Life Goes On," “Butter," “My Universe," “Permission to Dance," and “Savage Love" cemented their global dominance, making them one of the most successful boy groups of all time.
Despite RM's playful comment, fans can be assured that BTS is still together, and their next chapter is only just beginning.
