Sacramento Kings' Russell Westbrook scored 21 points and dished out nine assists in a 113-107 win against the Dallas Mavericks, pushing his career assist total to 10,149 and vaulting him past Magic Johnson into seventh on the NBA's all-time assists list.

The 37-year-old also became just the 14th player in NBA history to record 2,000 career steals, and only the fifth player since 1973–74 to combine 25,000 points and 2,000 steals — joining a truly exclusive club featuring LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon.
On a night filled with milestones, Westbrook also moved within nine points of tying Dominique Wilkins for 19th on the NBA's all-time scoring chart — another legend in his sights.
The Kings had to survive a late Dallas push after the Mavericks closed to 111-107 with nine seconds left, but DeMar DeRozan iced the game at the line.
