Berjis Desai’s Book ‘Modi’s Mission’ Celebrates PM’s Life, Leadership And Legacy

Starting from his humble childhood in Vadnagar to becoming Prime Minister, “Modi's Mission" traces Narendra Modi's personal journey.

Written by renowned lawyer Berjis Desai, the book was released by Maharashtra's governor Acharya Devvrat and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday.

Desai's book highlights PM Modi's emergence as a national leader despite numerous challenges. It examines formative experiences from Modi's childhood and youth that have shaped his socioeconomic philosophy and governance outlook.

The author claims the book exposes falsehoods spread by India's intellectual elite to undermine Modi's governance. It explores Modi's efforts to awaken India's collective consciousness and ensure transparent, results-oriented governance. From formalising the Indian economy to the abrogation of Article 370, the book outlines Narendra Modi's systematic approach to decision-making.

Providing a comprehensive yet accessible account, the book covers Modi's sustained efforts to enhance India's civilisational glory and build an efficient welfare state.

CM Devendra Fadnavis shared glimpses of the book launch event on social media, stating, “Honoured to launch the inspiring book ‘MODI'S MISSION', authored by Berjis Desai, alongside Hon Governor Acharya Devvrat ji. This book captures the journey of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, from his humble beginnings in Vadnagar to his rise as the nation's foremost leader."

At the event, deputy CM Eknath Shinde expressed that “Modi's Mission" will inspire the next generation and noted that Narendra Modi has achieved the “impossible". He suggested that parts of the book be included in school textbooks.

Shinde remarked, “Many books and films have been released on PM Modi's life. However, ‘Modi's Mission' is not just a biography but a truthful account of his work, vision, and struggle. It is impossible to encapsulate Modi's personality in one book. The name Modi is both the present and future of the country."

Industrialist Anand Mahindra commented, “Prime Minister Modi is one of the most closely watched leaders of the 21st century. This book explores how, driven by a deep love for our country, he has sought to elevate its status in the world with relentless energy."

Berjis Desai is a Mumbai-based lawyer and writer, formerly a journalist with a leading Gujarati daily, and retired as the managing partner of one of India's leading law firms. He has authored several books, including critically acclaimed works on Parsi culture—"Oh! Those Parsis" and “The Bawaji".
