Bengaluru To Face Power Outages Across BTS Layout, Royal Enclave And 20+ Areas Continuously This Weekend
Several parts of Bengaluru will experience power outages on December 28 and 29 as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) undertakes emergency maintenance work. The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) has issued an advisory informing residents of scheduled disruptions across multiple neighbourhoods.
According to Bescom, power supply will be interrupted at different intervals starting late on December 27 and continuing through December 29. A power cut is scheduled from 11 pm on December 27 until 5 am, followed by additional outages between 9 am and 12 noon on both December 28 and 29. Areas including Hebbal, RT Nagar, Vidyanagar, and Ashokanagar are expected to be affected during this period.

Bescom stated that the following localities will face power supply disruptions due to maintenance activities:
Vinayak Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Shobha Apartment, 8th Mile, Ramaiah Layout, Havanur Extension, Narayana Layout, Vidya School area, Kuvempunagar, Vidya Bus Stand, Reliance Fresh vicinity, Munikondappa Layout, Ashokanagar, Vidyanagar, Defence Colony, Manjunathnagar, Mahalakshmi Nagar, Katarayanagar, Soap Factory Layout, Vijayalakshmi Layout, Andanappa Layout, BTS Layout, Siddheshwara Layout, Sasuveghatta, Soladevanahalli (partial), Tarabanahalli Main Road, Hesaraghatta Main Road, Visvesvaraya Layout, Royal Enclave, Bhairaveshwar Circle and surrounding areas.

Bescom has also announced longer power outages lasting seven to eight hours on Sunday, December 28, due to quarterly maintenance work at multiple substations.
Power supply will be disrupted from 10 am to 5 pm in areas connected to the 66/11 KV Byadarahalli and 66/11 KV Srigandhakaval stations.
