Bank Holiday Today: Banks across India will observe public holiday today, November 05, on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti under the RBI holiday calendar. These holidays are not uniform nationwide and vary from state to state.
On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, banks in the following states will be closed: Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala, Nagaland, Mizoram.
While physical branches will be closed in the above mentioned states, digital services will be available to use.
November 06 (Thursday): Nongkrem Dance
Banks will only be closed in Meghalaya.
The Nongkrem Dance Festival is a traditional harvest celebration of the Khasi tribe in Meghalaya. Held annually near Shillong, it's a five-day event.
November 07 (Friday): Wangala Festival
Banks will only be closed in Meghalaya.
The Wangala Festival, also known as the 100 Drums Festival, is one of the most important harvest celebrations of the Garo tribe in Meghalaya.
November 08 (Saturday): Kanakadasa Jayanthi
Banks in Karnataka will be closed on this day.
Kanakadasa Jayanthi marks the birth anniversary of Sri Kanakadasa, a 16th-century poet, philosopher, and saint from Karnataka.

Bank of Baroda, on the other hand, has slightly extended hours, working between 9:45 am and 4:45 pm or 10 am to 5 pm, and Canara Bank typically operates from 10 am to 3:30 pm.
